Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do I refer someone to LifeWays CMH?

We accept referrals from a variety of resources including schools, doctors and mental health professionals. If you're concerned about your family member or friend, you can call to inquire about services, but anyone over the age of 18 who serves as their own guardian will have to call to set up their own services. Parents or legal guardians can call to set up services for anyone under the age of 18.

How do I access services at LifeWays CMH?

Access to services is just a phone call away. You can call the Jackson Access Center at (517) 789-1200 or the Hillsdale Access Center at (517) 439-2641. Our clinicians will do a brief screening over the phone to determine which services are most appropriate for you. Then they will decide if a face-to-face assessment would be best for you or if you can be referred directly to a service providing agency.

If you can't call, just walk in. We're here to help you when you need it.
