Responding to a CrisisWhen LifeWays is alerted to a community crisis,
such as a death of a student, an accident in the workplace or other
such tragedy, we activate trained crisis responders to evaluate the
needs of the school, workplace, etc. and provide appropriate services.
In Jackson and Hillsdale
Counties, LifeWays participates in Critical Incident Stress Management teams. This multi-phase, multi-tactic process, commonly referred to as
CISM, has become the standard of care utilized by agencies and
communities across the US and around the world when emergency mental
health assistance is needed after a crisis.
